ReSound / Danalogic Surefit Thin Tube – £6.95. When you select to purchase a left and a right tube at the same time a reduced price of £9.95 is available.
This listing is for a thin tube and NOT for a hearing aid.
Please note – we only ship to UK postal addresses.
ReSound and Danalogic private and NHS supplied hearing aids from around 2008 to 2015 typically have been supplied with ReSound Thin Tubes and from 2015 to early 2025 typically with Surefit 2 Thin Tubes.
Both ReSound Thin Tubes and Surefit 2 tubes have been discontinued as of January 2025, and replaced with Surefit 2C tubes which are DIRECTLY COMPATIBLE, however we still have stock left of the older tubes until our stocks are depleted.
We suggest if we still have stock of the tube size and type you are currently using to continue to order a direct replacement as usual. Only when there is no stock of the tube size and type you have been using to then move across to Surefit 2C tubes.
If you try to order Thin Tube or Surefit tube(s) and are not allowed it is likely our stock of the older tubes has been depleted. We can’t replenish the older tubes when our stocks are depleted and you will at that point need to move across to the new Surefit 2C tubes.
If this happens please DO NOT use your existing domes with the new tubes, replace BOTH left AND right tubes AND order Surefit 3 domes to match. This is VERY IMPORTANT.
***PLEASE NOTE – you must take care to match each variant of Thin Tube with the correct dome type, if you do not use the correct dome type you risk a dome detaching in you ear canal and having to ask a hearing professional or your local A&E department to remove it.
Thin Tubes need to be worn with Thin Tube Domes, Surefit 2 Tubes need to be worn with Surefit 2 Domes, and Surefit 2C and Surefit 3 Tubes need to be worn with Surefit 3 Domes. ReSound / Danalogic Domes are here.
Thin Tubes (with three ridges at the tip) are like the first image, and see (in red or blue) a number and a letter, red denoting right and blue denoting left. In this example a left size 2B Thin Tube.
Surefit 2 Tubes (with 2 ridges at the tip) are like the second image, and again in red or blue with a number and a letter, but also a coloured line. The Surefit 2 example is a right size 2B tube.
Surefit 2C Tubes (with a single ridge at the tip) are like the third image and direct replacements of both Thin Tubes and Surefit 2 Tubes. They have a single number in red or blue and also a coloured line, no letter. The Surefit 2C example is a right size 4 tube.
Surefit 3 Tubes (with a single ridge at the tip) are like the fourth image and are specifically for the latest ReSound / Danalogic rechargeable Omnia, Nexia and NHS Actio hearing aids only. They have a single red or blue number and either R or L printed on the tip in red or blue. The Surefit 3 example is a right size 4 tube. N.B. Please ask if you require Surefit 3 Tubes.
To surmise, you will see (in red for right tubes and blue for left tubes) a number, possibly a letter and possibly a coloured bar like the images of the tubes. The oldest tubes, Thin Tubes have a number and a letter. The next oldest, Surefit 2 tubes have a number and letter and a coloured line. Surefit 2C tubes have a number, no letter and a coloured line. Surefit 3 tubes have a number, no letter and no coloured line.
The higher the number the longer the tube, for instance a size 2 tube is slightly longer than a size 1 tube. ‘A’ tubes sit slightly deeper in the ear canal than ‘B’ tubes but with the same overall length. (Letter variation not applicable to Surefit 2C and Surefit 3 Tubes)
Please choose carefully as once tubes and domes have been opened / used we can’t accept back as a return due to hygiene considerations.
Wearing NHS hearing aids and looking to change from thick tubes and moulds to thin tubes and domes without the assistance of an audiologist? Please read this first – Thick tubes vs Thin Tubes
If you still wish to go ahead and order we can’t advise on size of tube, size and type of dome etc and your purchase is entirely at your own risk, we will not be able to accept tubes and domes back for credit due to hygiene considerations, we hope you understand.
